# monid topup

> Create a one-time checkout link to fund the workspace wallet.

Create a one-time checkout link to fund the workspace wallet, then open it to pay. Without `-a`, show the top-up limits.

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
monid topup [-a <dollars>] [--no-open] [--json]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `-a, --amount <dollars>` | number | No | Amount in US dollars. At least the workspace minimum (currently \$5); run without `-a` to see the live limits |
| `--no-open` | boolean | No | Print the checkout link without opening the browser |
| `-j, --json` | boolean | No | Output as JSON |

## Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Show top-up limits
monid topup
# Top up $10
monid topup -a 10
# Create link without opening browser
monid topup -a 25 --no-open
# Output as JSON
monid topup -a 5 --json
```

## Behavior

* Requires an active API key with permission to create checkout sessions
* The workspace minimum top-up is checked before creating a session (currently \$5)
* The browser opens automatically on TTY when a checkout link is created (use `--no-open` to disable)
* The wallet is funded as soon as the payment completes
* If the API key lacks `topups:create` scope, the command suggests topping up via the dashboard instead
